Well my cocking handle plastic piece finally broke off, got a new one, and was wondering if some of you folks have changed one out. it says that when you take rifle apart and take out bolt carrier and push the cocking lever to the back and line up the holes you can see the pin that has to be knocked (difted out) well it seems that the 2 holes are not perfectly aligned (not 180 degrees apart) I am guessing that you have to use a very small punch and drive the pin a ways then keep adjusting so you can get it out. Then what is the trick to getting the new one back in with the spring. Cant really see where having the hard plastic tip is much better than bare metal. any ideals or tried procedures for this would be greatly appreciated. Dave in Tampa

You are corerect, use an undersized punch and you will be able to drive out the pin. Installation is pretty much the same way, but you may have to futz with it a few times before you get everything lined up right. Hopefully you have some slave pins to help you along.
