I don't know much about the clip and pinning process for a trigger pack, but if it has been clipped and pinned for semi use, can it be reused to set up an autp sear? I know a trigger pack has to be clipped and pinned for use with an auto sear to work around the shelf, but I don't know if the processes are any different.

Random side question, I have a V93 and a V53 and I've noticed that on the ejection port side of the bolt carrier, they are smooth. However, I've seen HK carriers which have a thumbprint shaped ribbing on them. What is the purpose of that? A pseudo-forward assist?

Clipping and Pinning only refers to the modification to the pistol grip frame and not the physical trigger pack itsself. The C&P housing will work on any pack.

A trigger pack that has been cut for semi will only with semi auto packs. a Pack for a sear has to be modified in a different way. So if you have a registered sear the trigger pack must be done by a gunsmith who has setup registered sear packs before so the timing is correct.

As for the "thumb print" marks in the bolt carrier, they can act as a forward assist. The bolt can be released gently and then gripped with the thumb to lock it into battery. Its easier to do with an empty chamber, and i've never tried to chamber a H&K that way. I've only done it to lock it when empty.

Touche should've picked my words better. That's the answer I was looking for though. I recently picked up a 4 pos. lower at a steal and I wanted to know if I could have it modified for semi use now, but then put my sear in it once I get one. (my savings track puts me in range in about 12 mo.)

That's what I figured. I could care less, just curious. Thanks!

If you want your sear in it just wait and have it modified for a sear. Once its cut and all the mods for semi, its staying semi. The cost of swapping the parts and modifying the trigger frame will cost more than another burst pack.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Oh well, soon enough. What's a good going price for a 0-1-3-F? Just curious how mine stacks up against market price. I see they're selling for 820ish on HKparts.

Another side question, can I change a 3rd to a 2rd burst by changing out the counting wheel only, or is there more to it than that?
