I tried to do a search but I'm overwhelmed.
I'm hoping my suppressor paperwork comes back soon, and I recently bought a HK VP9 Tactical as a host for it. It has suppressor height sights (black rear and green front) from the factory.
I am looking to put a red dot on there, and have never used a red dot on a pistol. I have a couple questions.
1. What is the best for reliability? Trijicon RMR still?
2. Any particular plates I should buy to mount it, or are the ones from HK adequate?
3. Is it normal to co-witness an RMR with suppressor height sights? Will the red dot conflict with the green paint on the front sight? Is it annoying? The only red dot I have fired previously was a lower 1/3 cowitness. And with that one, the sights were blacked out and the dot was red. I'm a little worried about having a red dot and a green front sight.
What do you all suggest?
