That is the one I am currently using. It is a B&T knock off make by UTG. Unlike the newer version (P669) this version (P668) has worked fine for me. It does not have the angled feet issue of the newer one. It has held zero very well with a red-dot. I am going to try some higher mag optics on a set of throw-lever rings and I'll let you guys know how she holds up, but it will probably be a while. One of these days I might get an actual B&T mount, but for now this thing is working well.
Jeray, glad you got yours to work, you probably took your time and tightened it up equally all around, unlike the others. I just could not see how the p669 one i had was gonna stay tight. The feet didnt even completely grab under the feet on the rec. I think the p669 is for MP-5 receivers.

For what it's worth, I've been using B&T mounts on both my PTR-91F and CETME for several months now. Both have gone through a couple hundred rounds each and there's been NO zero shift. So far I'm quite happy with these mounts.

Thanks COBRA,thats why I,m not going "CHINESE" anymore. I mean, the whole military world uses these mounts on the G-3 rifle. I,ve got tons of pics. to prove it. You just cant cheap out, when it comes to optics and mounts. It starts with the MOUNT first. Cool bro. thanks

The claws on the P669 UTG mount can be reversed. I just did this. They are retained on the mounting screw shaft with a small alan head set screw, which by the way looks at first glance as a blind roll pin. I used a .050 alan wrench to do it. Somebocy check my spelling please

Its still a cheap peice of junk made in china, butI hope it stays tight for you greenrifle. I,m going B&T, battle proven all over the world on G-3,s. Glad you like it. Oh, Allen not alan and somebody not somebocy, minor mistake bro, minor mistake. LOL

I know it can't compare to the B&T but for the price (under $20 online) it seems that it's worked for some people & it could be used 'til you gather the funds to buy a higher-end one.

Which one is better? Greenrifle reversed the feet on the later version & would that allow it to work as well as the older one w/ a lower profile?

I am almost certain that the rail height is the same. Yeah, I'll get a B&T one of these days, but right now, $20-30 is all my momma allows me to spend : )

HAHA! I know, right. I say if you gotta cheap out, cheap out with the UTG P668 Mount, as it is almost an exact copy of the B&T BT212621 Mount. Now I promise you that the B&T is of MUCH higher quality, but the design is the same. The P669 is something they did not base on a working design. It seems to be made for the 9mm guns, and probably works great on them, but my advice is to get a P668, if you can't get a B&T.

Just wanted to follow up on the scope mount thread here: The B&T 212621 universal scope mount fits excellent. It fits like it was made for the G-3 receivers, easy to install, has steel feet and doesnt need any top screws to shim it like the chinese ones. Jeray put it best"I THINK THE SWISS TOLERANCES ARE WAY TIGHTER THEN THE CHINAMANS ARE" Well worth the money. Thanks guys, now for the crap shoot on rings and scope. I think I got it figured out, thanks to KOBRA351 and JERAY. This site is very helpful, thank you sirs.

Jeray, I sent you a PM sent w/ a question about the P668.

Thank you.

Been reading a while, first post though, great site, helpful people...

tcr: what rings and glass are you going to put on there?

I recently got my first HK (actually an SAR overstamp) and after much consideration have decided to go with the B&T mount over the HK claw. The eventual plan is to put a Nightforce 2.5-10x32 on there, but I am open to any and all suggestions as far as glass goes. I was thinking Badger rings as well...it will take a long time to save up my pennies. Irons only for the time being.

Well, I shot the thing with a cheap Bushnell scope on there this weekend and it seemed to hold up fine. Of course, only time will tell, but so far the leapers mount seems to be able to handle the recoil.

I'm gonna use some of these rings, specifically the QD version, once I can afford a good scope: http://www.eabco.com/Warne01.html

I bought the Warne QD rings for a scope I recently ordered. They seem to be on the best for the $.

I,ve decided to use 30mm ARMS#22 throw lever rings $135 a set and a leupold 2.5-7x33 Eropean style scope w/german mil-reticle. $429. was hoping to be able to use the irons thru the openings on the high #22 arms rings, but i doubt there will be clearance. I can just throw the levers if I need to.

Do you have a link to that particular scope? I tried googling it, but could not find that particular model. Certainly sounds better than $1300 for a NightForce...

spqr,

Thanks for the info on the ARMS high rings and using irons, any idea if its possible with a B&T?

ETA: Nevermind tcr, I found the scope on opticsplanet. How exactly does the German #4 mil reticle work? The picture there is not very big...thanks.

I think the DARK thicker lines of the reticle may work for BDC. But, I am not a scope guy.I shoot alot with irons at 2&300 yrds. It just seems like a very good quality scope and has a 5 star rating. Its not to heavy[under a pound] and is only 11" long with skinnier objectiveand eye peice.Hopefully it clears my line of IRON sights.I still dont think its going to,even with the .81 high rings. I may save and try to find a STRAIGHT tubed IOR/Valdada,6 or 4 power. Still saving money,we,ll see.
