I took my D54P w/sear out today and was using a can on it, standard locking piece. Near the end of my shooting session I had some failures to eject and when I took the bolt group out my extractor spring was bent slightly and not holding the extractor in very good. Was this caused by the can? or could it just have worn out because last time I shot it there was not a hickup in 500 rounds with the same mags. Any thoughts would be helpful and I just ordered a bunch of the springs also.

You should just use the standard 100 degree locking piece for both suppressed and normal shooting. Extractor springs are wear items so just replace it and you should be good to go.

+1 for programmatore. full size mp5's will work just as well with or without a can on the standard LP. replace extractor spring & you should be good to go.
