Almost every broken firing pin I have heard of came after a lot of dry-firing without snap caps. Why take a chance on a $800 pistol for sake of $12 worth of snap caps?
While I agree with the above. I have pulled my trigger thousands and thousands of times and easily put 30K+ through my pistol... I broke my first part last night :-(
My fiberoptic insert from my LPA sights fell out of my front sight.
I agree with BIG Bore just get snap caps......Especially for older HK USP's .. I think pre 2001 USP's if I am right had a few problems with this... The newer USP's have an updated firing pin
