Early PTR91 vs PTR91 GI Lower Interchangeability

Good evening! I haven't had the chance to look over the inside of the PTR91 GI lower. Having the paddle release, does that prevent the lower from being used with an early PTR91? Keeping the axiom of two is one, one is none in mind, I'm looking to get a second one for standalone and/or cannibalization. Would like to have that paddle release, but not if I can't swap them.

The paddle mag release is in the upper, not the lower.
