What would I be looking to pay for a cherry Stainless USP Compact in either 9mm or .45? I think I would be looking for the old model with the deep engraving and the matte blasted finish.

When I say cherry, I mean 90% or better I don't care about barrel marks but the slide would have to be near perfect.

I just traded in a couple of my less desirables (PPQ/M&P) for a new 9mm USP Compact and it's giving me the itch to finally buy my work of art.

I paid $600 for a "cherry" usp 45 stainless full size if that helps. I would think not much more than that. $650-$700ish would be my personal max. And it would have to be real nice!

Anything in the $600 range might be a little ambitious as they're getting harder to find.

The .45 brings a higher price. In gently used condition I would expect to pay around $700 for a stainless USP Compact .45

Silly question but is my new USPc a stainless slide under the melonite? Are there any qualified refinishers that know the right combination of bead material to blast it?

...or even if I find a beat up Stainless C are there people who will reblast it to the original look?

H&K Stainless slides are make of ordnance grade stainless steel, no other finish is applied over it

I was lucky and got my USPc SS 9mm for $630. like new condition, maybe 50 rounds thru it. dont even see them any more much in 9mm.
