Fun day. Hot as hell at the range because no ac. I went to Shoot Straight in Tampa.

Ok first, I am a terrible shot I know but with that said I hope you guys enjoy this report.

Distance was 25 feet. Ammo used was PMC 45 auto 230 grs. FMJ. The suppressor used was a SWR HEMS II. The FNP-45 Tactical and Mark 23 functioned flawlessly but I only put 48 rounds through each of them. The USP-45 Tactical had an issue where the hammer did not stay cocked after firing. This happened 3 times. I have never had a pistol do that before. Any ideas why? All in all the Mark 23 was the most fun to shoot and the most accurate both suppressed and unsuppressed. It was a dream. I have small hands and it felt perfect. The FNP-45 was my second favorite. I was using a rest to shoot. Sorry I'm such a bad shot fellas. Lots of cleaning to do.

Sorry I don't have any info to offer as to why your hammer was malfunctioning but I just wanted to say that you have a hell of a collection, these three are the definition of tactical. Makes me miss the .45 acp. Thanks for sharing your experiences and some nice .45 tactical porn.

did it chamber the next round or just not hold the hammer back?

I rented a USP45 at the range that the hammer fell several times after shooting it. Sometimes I would have a SA pull, sometimes a DA pull. It always went bang when I wanted, and never when I didn't, but something was messed up.

I've handed the FNP45 and was surprised that in my small hands, how comfortable the 15+1 grip felt. Not bulky at all. Would like to get my mitts on a Mark 23.

It chambered the next round each time it happened. I just had to pull the hammer back. It happened only once in three of four magazines I shot and all were loaded with 12 rounds. Thanks for your input.

Yes. I think maybe it needs more time to break in. I forgot to mention that it also malfunctioned once by the slide not going all the way forward after a shot. It was short by about a 1/8". I flicked my rist and it closed and was in full battery. It then fired normaly.

That's a mighty fine collection of .45 ACP brass makers you got there!

I think you are right, more rounds!!! My USP Tac NEVER malfunctioned no matter what ammo, limp wristing, etc. I tried. but my Mark 23 had several stoppages
when new, mostly not chambering or closing all the way like you mentioned. but after hundreds of rounds no more trouble. nice collection Patton!!
