I miss them and wish I could have them back. (finances caused to sell). I'm back with my first replacement and the beginning of my new Hk collection, Hk45CT. But here are some pics of some of my past:

1of 2 USC carbines I have owned.

You have had a good past my friend. That Sig I took off your hand was one of a kind too, I can only wish to be as blessed as you throughout the years of my "gun life". The silver lining in this is that you had the toys to help you financially when you needed it.

Darebear, I sold you a Sig? Yes I had financial issues as well as employment changes last year. The job I have now is better. I am with a State Of Indiana Law Enforcement Agency (no not ISP), Indiana Gaming Commission. I'm an Agent and we police the casinos. They also honored 12 yrs of my police service which bumped me up high on the pay scale. I handle more felony cases now than I did on the other dept.
Anyway I found this pics and wanted to share. I will build my collection up again. BTW, the following pic is the only Sigs I had.

I know these are not Hk, well the USP45T is pictured.

Thanks for sharing these. I like your taste in combat tupperware. The 5.7 with the extended barrel looks pretty neat.

Oh. Sorry, I confused your name with another member. I got a Blackwater Sig off of a member here. Those Sigs 1911's are beautiful.

Congrats on the new gig GPD. As I read your initial post, I was just about to reply to tell you to hang in there, that things will get better. And apparently they already have.

I do feel guilty sometimes when I buy a new pistol, and think about the other financial responsibilities I have as a father. But I find that at least when buying used pistols, they literally are about equivalent to a savings account in terms of value (i.e., won't make a fortune selling, but usually can get back all of my money and some if I am patient).

On that note, you had quite the badass collection...

I wish I had a 1/4 of those HK's in the OP. I just got an HK45c off a member here (it is on its way), so I need another HK45 and then I'm going to start on some 9mm P30's.

harkamus, thank you.
Stringfellow, yes, I love the modern tactical guns.
navyman8903, congrats the Hk45C is my favorite.

The pictured guns were sold/traded for other guns through time. I only had to sell a half dozen since last year. Here is a quick explanation: I was a sworn police officer with the Gary Police Dept. from '97 to 2008. I left for what thought was bettering myself and was hired as a sworn police officer with the dept in the town we live in. I went from a 280+ member dept to a 5 man dept. if I knew how much small BS there was, I would have stayed with GPD. I worked for the second dept for 2.5 years before the Police Chief and I had a falling out over a case that I was successful in finding the child (I was on the front page of the newspaper protrayed as a hero by the child's father. I used my experience as a Patrol officer and as a detective on GPD and found her the next day.) I was accused of not following an unwritten protocol (SOP) which no one else was doing either. The Assist. Chief told me I didn't do anything wrong. I was fed up with the BS. I, believing I could go back to GPD, quit. Anyway, GPD didn't work out.
Anyway, I am very happy where I am even though I had to go back to the police academy (ILEA) for another (9) weeks for the Indiana Gaming Police Academy (3rd Police Academy I have successfully completed). It is basically a specialty unit position. We deal with alot of criminal cases such as violent crimes, financial and gaming crimes as well as public intoxication, disorderly conduct, battery, domestic battery, theft, cheating and drug possession.

I know how you feel switching departments, it feels like everyone does something differently and every chief has a different way of running things. I hate that ****. Makes you want to not even do the job. The way I got by was clinging to the feedback I got from people I helped. It made things easier for me when I got the BS from up top about what I did wrong. I would leave the office and think to myself, you know, at least I helped someone today and it mattered. But glad to see that you are in a good place now and doing well. That is what matters. And 3 academies is rough, you have more respect (on top of what you already had) for doing that stuff man.

Thank you navyman8903. The second (2) academies I lived at the academy M-F and home on the weekends (Plainfield, Indiana about 2.5 hrs away). I have received numerous compliments and commendations while on Gary PD from both citizens and the Brass. I received compliments and praise for my efforts on BHPD from the citizens, not that I became a cop for praise or the money but when a person acknowledges you it makes it worth while.

I am in a good place. This job is awesome and I think that it is designed for cops that have street experience already. Alot of police officers have left their depts for IGC. The agency is new (2006) and is growing. I think we are at least 150 strong statewide. We work 10.5 hr shifts which gives us(2) days off the first week (my off days are Mon&Tues) and (4) days off the second week (Sat-Tuesday). It is great because I don't have to do traffic control or traffic enforcement and I'm basically inside so weather does not matter. I spent a total of 11.5 yrs of my total service in Patrol Division so it is really nice. We wear casual clothes like when I was a Detective on Gary PD, it is great.

That Stainless Tactical looks sweet!

Sorry to hear of your losses, I've had to sell to and I'll never do it again. I know how it feels, some guns you just can't let go.

Well I hope your collection grows to what it was and much more.

Thanks for sharing.

I get nostalgic sometimes about the S&W revolvers and Remington rifles that I've had to sell to make ends meet. But I've never, NEVER sold an HK.
