My mark 23 arrived at my FFL today and my first impressions are good so far. While large, it is not exceedingly heavy. The grip for me is not too large, a bit larger than my USPf 45. Geez, size wise Colin noir said it best when he said it looks like robocop's backup off duty gun! For me I got this for target shooting. Double action is HEAVY, single action feels great. I'm happy HK provided a thread protector. 3 of my friends jumped on the buds deal and bought one too, so we are planning on going to the range tonight.

Congrats man. That's an HK I haven't had the pleasure to handle yet. Can the Mark 23 be had with a LEM trigger, out of curiosity?

Make sure you really grip and drive that bad boy to keep it flat. I've pulled off shots and accuracy with the MARK 23 that I haven't with anything else at range. Which is saying something. Especially with all of the other HK's I have.

You will love it.

I made the mistake of shooting one that a buddy got and I am now almost obsessed with eventually getting one !

I love the feel of it especially as I have baseball mitt size hands.

Do let us know how you like it.
