Have you talked to the US importer - American Tactical Imports (ATI)?

I've got some GSG parts from them in the past.

I believe ATI currently imports some of the GSG guns, but not all. Others come in via Canada and Blue Line Solutions.

Like he said, contact ATI.
Separately, if you’re interested in a low cost HK styled 22 plinker, the branded Umarex MP5 clones are much higher quality and more durable than the GSG offerings. Good luck.
My son has a GSG5 .22, the cocking handle snapped, and the stock cracked.

ATI was good about it, and had new parts in stock at the time. I added a 3/4" piece of dense foam inside the cocking tube, at the muzzle end, to stop the cocking handle from bottoming out and snapping the handle.

The last inch of the travel isn't used.

Welcome to our board and community!

Sorry about your dad passing. I have one of the GSG 522 guns, and a few of the ones before it (the regular "5", pre lawsuit). Parts are hard to find but not impossible, I usually scour gunbroker and occasionally parts kits are posted, with bidding anywhere from $50-200 depending on the parts included. Don't give up.

For avoidance of any doubt - you're talking about the part that connects to the barrel? https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1584300b4 If so I've never seen them sold separately (aside from this website, and they're gone), usually you'll find them attached to the barrels being sold in parts kits on gunbroker. Also as mentioned above, you have nothing to lose by contacting ATI and seeing if they can help out, you'd be surprised.

Yea I've seen some people split open the cocking tube support as well, in addition to snapping those handles. The buffer mod is essential IF you want to do the HK "slap", and let's be real, why have one if you won't slap it lol. RRAGES still sells them believe it or not, it's where I got a bunch for mine, and some other GSG5 parts they sell/sold awhile ago.

I'm a huge GSG-5 fan, it was my first firearm. I'll admit though that the new Umarex MP5 .22 LR are better and way more reliable, but the GSGs will always hold a special place in my heart, and they feel heftier in weight closer to the real deal (at least the pre-lawsuit "metal" ones do).
