I LIVE IN Sitka Alaska want say hi

I picked up a H&K 940 SEMI AUTO IN 30-06 estate sale ,I know nothing of rifle SS# 00084 with Q disconnect mounts and a scope kind a strange too very clear glass.

Scope called jagermeister vergutete optik 3x9x45 I will try post pictures ,gun action looks unfired and rifling perfect,,
I paid $700 for the set up know one knows anything about gun in Sitka AK

You stole it.
The going rate for that scope mount alone is in the range of $400-$500.
Spare parts are difficult to come by, so don't strip out the rear (metric) take down screw trying to use an imperial allen wrench.

You did very well indeed, sir. It's a bit heavy, but the 940 is a GREAT rifle.

That was a heck of a good deal. I wish I could find deals like that. I purchased a NIB 940 this summer, never fired with the manual, warranty card, take down wrench, but no HK05 scope mount or scope and paid three times what you did. Awesome find. Congratulations.

Thanks my friend just called me he went back to Estate they have a H&K 630 never shot it mine now no scope mounts but she nice for $400 ,glad wife in Florida with mom

You stole it! $400 is about one-fifth what that rifle often goes for in good shape.

Open sights are broad and easy see we have a lot of Black Tail deer on Islands around Sitka AK not hunted we get 30-50 yards from so 223 H&K 630 be great for neck or heart shots, anyone know what 223 ammo best for 630 and 940 in 30-06>

thanks wife hates when I BUY GUNS BUT 223 BE GREAT FOR HER SHE LIKES NICE WOOD.

The HK05 scope mount you have on the 940 will also fit on the 630.
Zero from one to the other I'm sure would change if you were swapping them.
Another 05 mount would cost more than you paid for the rifle, but B-square makes a mount, here :B-Square 1-Piece InterLock Weaver-Style Scope Base 1 Rings HK 300
I have no experience with them.

My wife giving me hard time about me buying 940 as I have 375 Ruger she likes 630 in 223:2300000:

I'm hoping see reads the worth of 940 hard live with them or without them -wife's -I mean lol not 940 or 630

The 4 post are large on edges and crosshairs med fine how I like them think it's called German recital

I sold 940 too a nice cool member here ,I keeping 630 and they had a 308 I have my brother wife picking up for him xmass ,22 cal I picked up 22 nice little 22 auto with cool round rear open sights ,The family has whole line they father collected ,next I am getting 22 mag its over the son home.I just did transfer on 22 still had factory tag on barrel in box .he also have 8 pre 70 Winchester from 358 norma mag to 375
