H&K MP5K Fleming sear gun purchase

5076 Views 19 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  LEO
Hello, I've been lurking a while and decided to purchase H&K MP5K marked Fleming sear gun for $15,000.
I was very busy with my work and didn't have chance to visit the forums lately, and I'm not sure $15,000 is fair price for today's market value.
Any thoughts? also anything to watch out?
thanks

With sears going for $13k-$13.5k then yes it is a good deal. A base SP89 will run $3.5k. Figure $4k for the weapon (assuming it is not a clone) and $11k for the sear. I would think many people would be all over it quick!
Yes, $15k for a sear gun is a good deal right now.
done deal.
Should I send him 100%?
This is my first class III deal and if you guys could give me some advice then I would appreciate it!

That's usually how it's done. Buyer sends full payment to start the transfer. If you're nervous about it, you might be able to arrange sending the payment to the FFL used for the transfer.

Is that a clone or an actual HK MP5-K? It's about a normal price if its a clone, and a fantastic price if it's an HK. I'd almost be leery of a price that good and insist on sending payment to the FFL. That's at least $2000 less than most I've seen recently.

Most require 100% funds up front. Dealers will usually charge a little more when you do 50-50 payments.

Is the purchase out of state?
I purchased mine from a dealer that was selling it for his client. He asked for 50% upfront and the other 1/2 when the transfers were completed and prior to shipping to my local Class III.

I have not seen one offered that low either. Have you verified that it is not a clone and if not the condition and options?
I'm still waiting for his reply.... so far no luck.
Maybe I'm too late for this deal... *SNIFFS*
Price does not seem right

I've been watching for months and don't remember seeing that. I can't believe it's a real HK.
I'm finalizing a deal for a S&H in an SEF for 12.5K now and am comfortable with that figure. I've already got the hosts so will just go with the lower.

It's not one you saw here from a guy in Utah, was it? There was a guy here selling one for real cheap like that, and the pictures he had were of a factory pack with a roller sear. I offered him a really low price on just the sear, and he said I was second in line. The fact that he would consider such a low price raised all kinds of red flags.

Then he pulled the large pics and left only tiny thumbnails when others started asking questions about it. More red flats.

HKPro cancelled the thread and banned him because of all the suspicious behavior.
Those "this week only" kind of sales make me nervous.
I sent him an E-mail when only 4 people viewed the post... no response.
After sent him about 5 different E-mails... I just gave up.
It makes me uneasy when the poster TYPES IN ALL CAPS. I realize that not everyone is web savvy but...

and yes...great price if were real.
damn... the gun was sold in 5 mins... I should say "I will take it!" instead of saying send me some pix....damn.

he sent me some pic and it's real H&K.

Sorry to hear about it.

That's the thing about a buyer's market like things are now- put a good buy out there and it's like throwing a chicken into a tank of sharks.
Edman99, what part of town you reside in? I live in Duluth, GA, and I do all my transaction w/ Chris at Mr.PAWN.
I live in Bogart which is just west of Athens. My favorite local shop is the Firing Lane. Jeff and his employees are good folks.
