Has anybody ever seen one of these SR9 stocks out in the wild?

To me it, it screams Choate in its appearance. It appears the forearm is not of the typical variety either.

What sort of literature are we looking at here?

Picture came from the HK history book that the webshop was selling cheap not too long ago.
It makes reference to the 1998 new look, and IIRC, SR9 production didn't last long after that because of the change to the import rules.
Forearm is not the typical variety.

That was HK's attempt to reimport the SR9. Import rules changed before they ever offered it commercially. 1998, yup, that's correct.
