Thinking about springing for a semi-auto MP-5. Atlantic has the POF-5 on sale for $1199. Just wondering how the QC of recent POF guns have been? I know everyone used to say the finish was terrible. Is this still the case?

According to Atlantic and most accounts here yes, the quality has improved. My own pistol is straight, welds are nice, paint is solid but not perfect. As said above, for the price I can deal with the finish and plan to refinish it myself in the near future.
My first pistol wouldn't run well but the replacement worked fine. Still, it now has a German ejector and an MKE pack installed.

Just got one from atlantic a few months ago. It seems well built, everything is straight. The welds look good. I switched out the trigger housing for a polymer one that is 922 compliant so I could a form 1 but it runs great as a pistol so far. Finish you can tell is not perfect and it had a few scratches on it delivered but its a gun. It will get many more scratches during its use and I'll get it cerakoted and keep going
