I've been converting my usp40 2023 production da/sa to light lem with the universal kit and everytime i get the frame fully assembled and cock the hammer the hammer strut pops down and out of place and the trigger goes dead. i haven't been able to find any answer to this online so i hope somebody here knows what the issue is thanks.

Universal LEM kit comes with 2 hammer springs
one being shorter than the other..you have the longer of the 2 installed right? The shorter spring is for an HK45c

The little spring that goes in the cocking piece needs to e secured . Use some grease to hold it .
