Hello everyone! Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and experience! HKpro has helped me with several issues on my PTR9CT, reviews on parts for my P30L and I find myself sharing most opinions of everyone on the Mark 23, though mine is not suppresse.

looking to repay the favor when I can to help the next noob looking for answers to elusive issues!

Again thanks!

Thanks all, been goin the work thing of late, job and house. Haven’t been to the range in months, starting to feel the shakes comin on from not getting my gun smoke intake!

Cheers to you both, Lakelandman and Ghosthk, good to know I live in good company. Maybe when things settle down we can plan a range day meet….. stay well!

I’m south of you in Naples, good outdoor ranges up there?
Well yes and no, most out door ranges are 100 yards, Hernando Co Sportsman's Club has a 200yard area but it isn’t always open, most other places over 200 are private clubs, nothing against that I just have limited time to shoot.

would love to shoot at Myakka but every time I have taken off from work to do so it rains!

anyone know any different in the Tampa area, please speak up!

Isn’t there a 1000yd range in Manatee?

Well, there used to be, now it is 600 yards. I believe this land is leased from the state and the folks that had it lost it and now the new folks only maintain a 600 yard range. Don’t get me wrong 600 yards is fine too, but they only have 15 benches. It is the same one I mentioned that is in/near Myakka City. I’m not far from 75 and 52 and that is over 2 hours to get there - so it is gonna be a day, not that I mind, just can’t get the right day off and the weather to cooperate! Manatee Gun Club, they are only open Thursday- Sun and they often have competitions so the range is in use….. best to check the website for other things BEFORE you go….

There was a push to build a new facility in central Pasco Co., 1000 yard range for rifle then other shorter distances and pistol stuff too but that got squashed by neighboring land owners. Sad, if it was a Wal-Mart or a mall the other land owners would have lost out, but a gun range, heavens no, can’t have that!!!!!!

I’ve been in this area a long time, since ‘80, not much longer public stuff around, gotta drive a ways…..there are several private ranges that go to 500, but as I stated I have very limited time and they usually want a work commitment which is fine. I just can’t commit at the moment.
