When will the 15 round mags depicted in the owner’s manual be available for purchase? When they do become available will they be the Jetfunnel type or just regular high capacity mags? Thanks.
It seems to be a misprint in the manual. According to HK there are no current plans for any HK45 mags higher then the current 10 round mags although some hi-caps would be VERY nice.

Though you are all prolly correct and it really might be a misprint...Am really-really hoping it is NOT.

Just looked at my owner's manual. If it is a misprint, it sure fools me.

It is possible with an extended mag. The M&P .45 is coming out with a 15 round mag although they are taking their time.

15 round mags were not a military requirement. Also the HK 45 was in development before the military even announced they were looking for a new pistol.

That is interesting...

I'll go out on a limb and say they actually might produce a 15-rd. mag accessory for both the HK45's.

if S&W and Para can squeeze 15 rounds into a 45 cal. mag, I'm sure it can be done for the HK45. one problem however is, the Hk45 was designed around a "semi staggered" mag body, rather than a "double stack" mag body?

I really don't understand how Para keeps the width down on their wide body/double stack 1911?

HK45 was developed for the JCP competition as clearly stated in the HK manual.

The 15 round mag was part of the requirement. The requirement was to have a standard mag of no less than 8 rounds, with greater than 8 rounds the target objective. A high capacity magazine was also to be supplied with a capacity of no less than 10 rounds and 15 rounds as the target objective.

You can get 14 rounds in the standard length Para mag without using an extended basepad. The reason for this due to the angle of the mag. Para has their rounds more horizontal relative to the mag body.
