I am in the works of possiblly trading my hk 2000sk sa/da for a 2000sk LEM.
My question is does LEM's from the factory say it on the carry case? The guy says the case that came with the gun says SA/DA and the manual does aswell. So should I assume it's a LEM kit upgrade?

As far as I know, there is no LEM kit for the P2000sk. I suppose it is possible to cobble together the pieces, but the surest way to know if it is LEM or SA/DA is if there is a decocker on the rear to the left of the hammer. The LEM P2000sk's that I've seen have always had "V2" on the factory box. Before you trade, I would make sure you're not just swapping one V3 for another.

It could have started life as a DA/SA, but converted to LEM. If this is the case, you will see a little notch/cut-out on the rear of the grip frame just to the left of the hammer. This notch is where the decocker button used to be on the DA/SA. You can go from DA/SA to LEM, but not the other way around because the LEM frame does not have a cut-out for the decocker.

If it came from the factory as a LEM, it would have a box that says LEM on it.

Unless a displayed gun was sold and someone shoved it in the wrong box. Shouldn't happen, but it does. Nonetheless, I would eyeball the pistol in question before buying if possible.

P2000sk does have an LEM kit.

My case reads "PISTOL P2000-V2 SK . 357 SIG COMP

Bought it off an LEO. Mine does not say LEM on the case though. There is no gap at the rear of the slide. Cannot say for sure if it left the factory as LEM. Fantastic little pistol.

V2 = LEM

Looks like it came from the factory as LEM, which explains why there is no decocker notch on the back of the slide.

V2 is Heavy LEM. The box never actually says "LEM" -- only variant. In the case of the P-series, V1 is light LEM, V2 is heavy LEM, V3 is SA/DA, and V4 is medium LEM. What I meant was there was no conversion kit for the P2000sk (to convert it from V3 to one of the LEM variants). I know it can come from the factory as LEM; I have one myself that I converted from V2 to V1.
