I saw that, he has listed it a few times...pretty optimisitic. I would put it at around 8K, then add on for the value of the scope and heavy bipod. I own no. 602 and have owned one very close to that serial range there.

Why would the lower have the pin areas cut off? Is this one of those fakes that were floating around a couple years ago?

That one is real. That is the way they came. These have the hole all the way thru for the pin but they also have a shelf and that is what the lower rests on. They actually widened the pin area so you cant fit a pin on lower to it.

Ok.....so CLEARLY, $12K is not within the realm of reason, which begs the next question....from those higher up on the apple tree. What do you think the "fair" market value would be on this? {And I am completely guessing}......$8500?????
