I sold the HK-05 scope mount that was on my HK-630. Now I want to put on another scope mount. I am aware of the B Square mount for this rifle. When searching for mounts, I found what appears to be a knock off of the B Square mount made by Sun Optics. It is just the rail part. It does not come with any rings. That works fine for me as I will probably need a high pair of rings to mount the Leupold 6.5x20x50 Vari X III scope on the rail. So any medium rings that come with the B Square mount would just get thrown out anyhow. This way I could buy a decent pair of rings to go with the rail and accommodate my scope of choice.
Anyone have one of these mounts? Experiences with it, pros and cons??

The Sun Optics mount is essentially the exact same item as the B-Square mount. I've got one and it works fine; however, I much prefer the absolute marvels that are the HK05 mounts.

I have no experience with the Sun Optics rail. It does look like a knock off of a B Square sans the rings. And yes, the rings that come with the B Square rail are nothing special. The B-Square is let me see... adequate(barely) on a 630,SL6 or a model 300. I can't imagine the Sun optics version to be any better. If you are dead set on the S.O. or B.S. rail then I would suggest a set of either Leupold QRW or PRW rings. Can I dare ask, why did you sell your 05 mount? It's a great mount for the 630/770/940.

I wish the 630/770/940 receiver covers were factory drilled and tapped like the 300/SL6/SL7s were. A.R.M.S./Swan made a nifty scope rail for those three models that would work with their #22 Q.D. rings. Nice, high quality stuff that was just as nice a set up as the 05 mounts
