Will a #17 lug affect the reliability of my gun when I'm not running a suppressor? When I turn eighteen I want to fill out a form 1 and build a suppressor to go on it. Right now I am going to to mill out a mount for picatinny rails so I can attach my PVS-14.

Since it is easy to change a locking piece (i.e. field striping for cleaning takes the gun to that level) would give it a try and then run the "standard" locking piece the rest of the time. ......

Sure I could do that, but I was wondering how it would work with out exchanging it.

Also has anyone put a heavy buffer into a Magpul Prs2. The stock will be down the road a bit or sooner if I find a better deals.

My son tried this... He ended up using an enhanced buffer by Bill Springfield

Seems the heavy buffer was too long, where as the Springfield moded buffer was standard length with modified internals (piston & spring)
