PGA stands for Pasukan Gerakan Am or in English General Operations Force, the new designation for Police Field Force.

With a notice on display, an armed police officer patrols outside the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006. The U.S. Embassy in Malaysia remained closed Tuesday following the New Year holiday, with officials saying they feared the facility was under surveillance. The sprawling mission in Kuala Lumpur was closed on Friday due to "recent suspected surveillance incidents," U.S. Embassy spokeswoman said. It was supposed to reopen Tuesday following a three-day holiday, but officials decided against it. (AP Photo/Andy Wong)

Not surpsising. Almost all of the General Duty (GD) policemen in the country assigned to patrol vehicles (patrol cars) have one MP5 in each vehicle manned by 2 GDs each with their sidearms. The M16 is too long for the vehicles. Previously the vehicle patrol GDs used Sterling SMGs. The airport police also uses MP5 but in semi auto only variant. Not as tricked out as UTK's or 69's MP5s, though.

Malaysian police stay guard at the British High Commission building during a protest by the ethnic Chinese in Kuala Lumpur on December 12, 2008. Scores of protestors who gathered at the British High Commission building in Kuala Lumpur condemned the killing of 24 unarmed villagers by the British Army in 1948 in Batang Kali and demanded an apology from Britain and compensation to the victim's families.

Azril from Malaysia sent us these photos of the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, at the opening ceremony of the Fourth Council of the Kelantan State Assembly of the Thirteenth Year (2016). The Sultan is flanked by Close-Protection Operator from Royal alaysian Police UTK unit who are carrying CZ Scorpion Evo 3 submachine guns and H&K 416 rifles.

According to Azril the Royal Malaysian Police service are slowly replacing the MP5 with the CZ Scorpion Evo 3. They use the EVO3 with Aimpoint Micro sights and notably two magazines taped together.

The other operator is using a HK416C (compact) with a 60 round magazine.
