So I've been reading on some other gun forums that I am a member of that quite a few tend to believe that HK's are inaccurate. Or at least you have to be some kind of IDPA shooter to shoot them accurately.

Anyone else heard this before?

I went to the range this morning and fired my USP .45 very well onto 3x5" index cards at 25 feet. I also had the chance to rent an HK45 (That will be my next gun :) ) I shot the HK45 just as well as my USP.

If anyone else has any range photos of good work with their HK's please post them :25: I know I'm not an IDPA shooter and I know that everyone at HKpro isnt just shooting into the dirt!

I've shot my HK45C on a ransom rest and grouped at 25 yards, 1.3 inches with my handloads. There is no accuracy issues with HK, just the user.

I don't have pictures, but have seen Hk's keep up with custom 1911s.

There IS a tiny bit of a reason why you may have heard this false rumor about HKs not being accurate. It is because they have triggers which are difficult for many people. A trigger one finds difficult makes it harder to keep your muzzle on target as you press it.

HKs are intrinsically VERY accurate weapons. . . they just don't have the easiest triggers to get used to.

Don't try and tell my wife H&K pistols are inaccurate.

The first time she shot my just purchased P2000SK V1 .40 S&W she proceeded to burn a hole through the center of the target @ 15 yards and by the end of that day's shooting session, the P2000SK had become her new pistol! Of course, this required me to buy another new H&K for myself (a P30LS V1 .40 S&W), so it turned out to be a win-win situation. :D

I'd surmise that you've been visiting the wrong forums. HK products are extremely accurate, as you demonstrated.

But compared to Glocks, XD's, M&P's, etc., they are pricey and I think that irritates some shooters and may make them jealous.

Stay here with your friends and ignore the forums where the OP is always "looking for a deal". :wink

I definately agree with this. It took me quite some time to get used to my trigger. Especially going from DA to SA. I am well aware of the accuracy of my USPs... if they are not on target... it's because I am not.

Exactly. When people ask me about HK or my USP I tell them the best thing they can do is buy 500rounds of ammo and practice. Took me some getting used to as well but now my accuracy is starting to reflect my love for these weapons :)

Bunch of hawg wash about H&k's not being accurate, all mine are so accurate is almost boring how well they shoot. Like they say, 'the only interesting gun, is an accurate gun'. Some people who are not good shooters will spend thousands on this or that gun they hear is accurate in an attempt to mask their poor shooting skills. I say it time and again, when a shooter strays from the 3 rudimentary fundamentals of shooting, shots land all over the place ... many times not even on the target. One example always sticks in my mind, this guy next to me was shooting a large frame S&W 8" .44Mag with a 2x scope mounted on it, at a very long distance of around 15 feet. His shots were all over the target, maybe 8" groups at BEST ... it was pretty sad...I never saw him move that poor target any farther out. =)~
