The announcement of the M110A1 has probably piqued the interest of many .308 buyers at a time in-between production batches/low dealer inventory.
Keep your eyes open on the secondary market and something will turn up. I'd been looking for one for the last couple months and the lowest I've seen lately for the basic package is somewhere around $2800 (taking extras into consideration).
