New laws since 1/1/2017. Unless it's featureless, or requires breaking down the receiver to swap mags (no bullet button 'loophole'), it's a no go. See calguns for a more technical explanation. Either way CA has effectively banned functional semi automatic rifles that are more evil looking than an m1a. Not sure if this guy got the memo.

If I lived in California I'd collect M1 Garands and 1911's.

A $49 ARMAGLOCK makes it transferable. Option #2 is to make it Featureless. Everyone stocked up before Jan 1 st the shelves were empty. They are now filling back up with fixed mag Rifles or Featureless Rifles.
