HK not Benchmade? Who makes them?

I have a couple Benchmade knives. My older Presidio is a fine piece of work. The Mini Reflex II and Barrage I bought are " meh".

My opinion is that there are better blades out there. That being said, who is currently making auto knives for HK ?
I am always adding to the knife inventory and am thinking something other than another Microtech (also seems to be suffering from some QC issues lately) or Benchmade. Gave some thought to a Southern Grind but the current manufacturer of that knife (Diamondback Mfg. in Cocoa, FL) gives me cause for concern.....

Hogue is the current manufacturer of HK knives. If you go on the HK Webshop, I believe it even hyperlinks to the Hogue website, which is getgrip.com.
I have about a half dozen benchmade knives, several microtechs. All of them older models , always fantastic performers gave my son one of the original AFOs before he left for his first deployment to Afghanistan…brought it back with barely any finish left on it. Lol.
I have a couple of the Hogues, but I haven’t used them extensively or carried them anywhere near as much as I have my benchmades.
I have heard that some of the newer ones (benchmade) are kind of crappy. That’s a shame ,a good blade is a necessity along with a carry weapon or without a carry weapon.
I may sound like a maniac, but I prefer to carry my RMJ tomahawk if I’m carrying some type of case… lol

Hogue? I know they make good grips; I have a few sets. Did not know they were in the knife manufacturing business.

They are not the quality of a benchmade or certainly a microtech.
I do like their designs, though very intuitive.😉👍🏻

Blades and firearms go hand in hand, because as I’ve told others, “ya gotta run outa ammo sometime.” 😆

Discontinued Benchmade and even some Gerber autos have long been favorites, but ProTech is my new go-to. Just super-solid tools.

I have to agree IMO one should always have a quality blade with them at ALL times.
You never know what the situation brings or where you may find your self at. There are tons of great blades out there both commercial and custom.
I’m with the corporal JJ if I could I would CC my Khukuri !

22 years ago I had the good fortune to meet Mr. Marfione when Microtech was located in Vero Beach, FL.
At that time he was kind and generous enough to gift me one of his knives. I have cherished it for decades and kept it safely stored. Of late I have found myself wondering why I shouldn't just carry and use the knife as it is intended to be used? Hence...I shall put it into the rotation.
Microtech Lightfoot L.C.C.
.......this is the finest folder I have ever owned.

All this discussion reminded me I had no OTF knives in the quiver. Fortunately Microtech had a few Ultratechs in inventory. Problem resolved.
Boker made some. I'll dig around and see if I still have one.

I forgot all about the Boker knives.
I bought a few and gave them as gifts but I never kept any of those. Pretty solid knives though …my guys I gave them to really appreciated them….
I have a Benchmade Barrage for EDC. Works for me. The OP didn't state why he didn't like it!
Benchmade Barrage? Not a bad or unworthy knife by any means. If it were, I'd have gotten shed of it quicksmart.
It is just (my opinion) not the same quality (i.e. fit, finish, grind) as my other Benchmade and surely Microtech knives. Putting it up against other similar knives I own it is like comparing a Chevrolet to a Cadillac or say...a HK45
to a Glock 30.

It is a beast of a knife. I always felt kind of the same way.
It was always a bit chunky and clunky for me compared to my other benchmades especially my AFOs.
