Okay, I've always been part of the you get what you pay for bandwagon with HK, and I'm an admitted HK addict.

I was browsing through the web shop today, and found the "HK Pro Shooter Range Bag" for $99. Thinking to my self "I'd sure like to look tacticool like a Pro Shooter, so this must be the bag for me..." and I clicked on it.

Nice bag, right? Oh, wait... I already have 2 of them that say Glock on the side. And they're only $45 at the gun show, $50 straight from Glock.

It's the exact same bag, made by the exact same company. The only difference is that HK one is $100.

So, there you have it... definitive proof that things are twice as much because they say "HK" on them.

... and I'll still buy them.

Dave

Edit: I found the same coffee cups on both sites as well - HK $9, Glock $5...

Amazing, isn't it?

That post was supposed to be tounge in cheek... but it's fascinating what people will charge.

In HK's defense, their Peltor ear muffs are $2 cheaper than the Glocks.

HK's slogan certainly applies to Profit Margins: "In a world of compromise... some don't"

Your really not paying for the the name with the range bag. The bag is made by Eagle Industries which makes GREAT products and their pro-shooter bag is the same price as the HK range bag - the HK logo.

I may stand corrected here. I took a look at that link, and I think the Eagle bag may have a few more internal pockets than the two I have from Glock... hard to tell from the pics... if it's not the same, it's darn close. Nice bag either way!

I'd really like to find a bigger bag one day... even with two of those bags, I'm still out of room.

I have both of the HK bags and they are NOT the same as the Glock bag. The quality of both bags is top notch, very happy with them and will be selling off a lot of other bags I don't need anymore.

Well, there it is. Just like polymer framed German automatics, just because they may look similar doesn't make them equal!

Marc71 - Thanks for the links, I'll have to look for one of those!

So, now does someone want to explain to me the superiority of the HK coffee cup? :83:

The Glock coffee mug will jam more and not be as reliable, first thing in the morning, when you need it most?

Indeed the MidwayUSA range bag is a really nice bag at an exceptional price. It is on the larger side, but I personally see that as a plus.

Sorry that the pics that Mark71 linked are blurry. If anyone is really interested in some better pics, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

The cheap one says "Glock" on it and the expensive one says "HK" on it. And your question is................?

I'm one for supporting your HK addiction as much as possible; however, I try to avoid buying things that make me a walking logo. It just makes it that much easier for a person to single you out for robbery; unfortunately :(

We all know that the Glock bag has a tendency to burst if you put too much stuff in it. The HK bag however will not. :) That's what the extra $50 is for
