I sent an email to the manufacturer asking if these are 922r compliant.

These are 100% US made. So they are compliant.

That's pretty cool. The only other option that I know of is the $50 aluminum box (which I have and works great). Maybe an enterprising person will order a bunch of these, bend/weld them to spec, and sell 'em for profit to people who don't have the tools to do it themselves?
