Got my second batch order of FMP 21 parts today, the sight bases i ordered from RTG also happened to arrive at the same time 😁. Anybody else get theirs yet?
Funny you mention that. I’m welding a big patch into the bottom of my feed mech, and then welding a mk48 nutsack dovetail to it. I never planned on using a magazine adapter anyway. I’ve got the patch done, now I just gotta source the dovetail…Yep. An adapter to use mk48 nutsack. And maybe you need to start producing the Kydex belt box you’ve made.
im thinking about doing it now, its such a good upgradeYep. An adapter to use mk48 nutsack. And maybe you need to start producing the Kydex belt box you’ve made.
interesting. An enterprising smith who bought a bunch at dealer cost could do a small production run and make some good money.2,500 is the total
Good opportunity for a barrel manufacturer to do a run! I would think it would be hard pressed to find2,500 is the total
The bolt heads are likely at the end of their service life. Would be great to have a run of E type barrels and E type bolt heads to use in these kits. I bet RCM is doing just that.Good opportunity for a barrel manufacturer to do a run! I would think it would be hard pressed to find
that many barrels in the wild.
Comparing the two bolts side by side, the 21 looks just like a G3 w/ a hole bored in it for the barrel pin safety and smaller feed lips. You could EDM the hole into a G3 and some time on a T&C grinder could make the feed lips match. Not easy but doable (whereas the E bolt you can't make from G3.) Would be nice if RCM did a run of bolt heads too.The bolt heads are likely at the end of their service life. Would be great to have a run of E type barrels and E type bolt heads to use in these kits. It would be best to have new 21E boltheads and 21E barrels to use in these 21 kits. The E extractor design is so much better than the G3 extractor.Comparing the two bolts side by side, the 21 looks just like a G3 w/ a hole bored in it for the barrel pin safety and smaller feed lips. use a grinder, it works better.Comparing the two bolts side by side, the 21 looks just like a G3 w/ a hole bored in it for the barrel pin safety and smaller feed lips. it wont hurt it, or not very much, just pull the pin, and rcm needs to do the e boltheads, huge marketbut with the risk of damaging the extractor if you drop the bolt on a barrel that’s not fully locked in place.
It just spirals inside I believe, still trying to find a hanger for it.That drum belt holder is kinda different.
Anyone know how the belt is arranged inside it?
i had no idea you were still posting. thanksI bought ten of the FMP HK-21 kits and I had a mixed bag of luck. I was able to assemble eight kits that should be good for building. The other two will be used for spare parts and making one into a dummy/static gun for weapons training classes.
- One kit was missing the bolt, locking piece, firing pin and firing pin spring.
- One bolt had areas that appeared to be "shattered" where the rollers are positioned.
- Two of the feed mechanisms were missing parts and/or slightly crushed.
- Three kits had some corrosion on the sheet metal that would really make me not want to build into weapons.
- One kit was missing parts to the buffer system in the stock assembly.

I didn't get any of the tripods but I did order some of the drums from Centerfire. As for the missing parts, I ordered directly from Century and I still need to hit up my sales rep and see if they will get them out to me.Ten kits! That's a lot to build!
Did you get any of the tripods or drums?
Is the retailer going to supply you with the missing bolt, etc?
