It's a little rough around the edges...but I like it. Please post some pics when you get it.
Listing said the bolt and carrier were marked '68, also said it was serial number 3. Assuming the back plate and lower were stamped since the receiver is long gone, it looks like it's been demilled for quite some time.

Yeah, hard to tell much from the photos. Took a bit of a risk but I'm optimistic. Seller is knowledgeable and responsive. Hoping it will clean up well. I'll post photos when it arrives. I thought the price was fair without a barrel or feedbox.

Update, the original receiver s/n was 50003, made 10/68. He sold it in another auction. It was VERY thoroughly demilled.

Final update - this one turned out to be a poor decision. The shroud is bent and twisted beyond repair, the trunnion worn. Sometimes the Internet wins.

Sorry to hear that.
When buying one of those older HK21 kits, you really need to see it. Shroud can be bent, lots of times the rear stock steel cap is all bent up from where the carrier beat it, chipped teeth on the sprocket shaft, etc.
You can buy a new US made trunnion for these, or part it out and try to get money back. (I'm looking for a feed mech main shaft myself, for the reason mentioned).


I saw the demilled receiver (here: http://www.gunbroker.com/item/598290791 ) and was seriously considering buying it just for the still visible factory markings on it, until it got expensive.

Yeah, the seller called me at 1:51AM after I left negative gunbroker feedback. Then Gunbroker changed my feedback from F to C. Guess he's given them more money over the years. All in all a pretty messed up transaction.

That's one seller from which to stay away.

Since you left feedback you can change it back to a F, GB cant change your feed back, he probably did. Open a fraud account with GB an they will help you to straighten out this mess, i have been thru this myself if you push G.B. enough it will get resolved in your favor. Doc
