My dad found an HK300 .22 WMR for about $900 at a shop his friend works at. He says it looks practically new with just a couple tiny rubs on the stock. Is this a fair price for this rifle? I know nothing about this one and he is interested in it.

Thanks.

seen em sell for $600-1800

I'd say if its just the gun and 1 5d mag, its a bit much.

if it has the HK05 scope mount than its a good price, lookin at $300-ish for the mount

I picked up mine just a few months ago for $850, came with 5rd mag, 10rd(aftermarket) mag, O5 scope mount and Leupold 4x scope, i thought it was a good buy, day before someone paid $1800 for pretty much the same thing.

they are great guns, mine is a tack driver.

if he buys it, check the buffer, mine had fallen apart and needed to be replaced, I had to make one actaully, but if its S#15000+ then HK has the buffers in stock, latter guns had a bigger reciever I think

OEM mags were 5rd and 15rd. can modify a 10rd H&R 22 mag mag to work in the 300(which makes sense as HK and H&R were close back then)
