I'm living in Commiefornia, and I have myself a HK416 10.4" upper. I wanted to match this up with my MR556 lower but I need to make the upper legal first.

My only idea is to attach a 5.5" fake suppressor to it. Anyone know any good fake suppressors that will match a 10.4" HK416?

I'm preparing for Gunpocalypse...

What handguard were you planning to use?

If you use one that can't fit over the faux-suppressor, you wouldn't be able to get access to the piston/op rod to clean it.

SEAINC is very carefully dancing around constructive possession.

Why would owning an AR pistol be an issue for constructive possession/intent? I would think it would be better to own a pistol lower if you won a sub 16'' AR upper than not.

It's an IF situation.

If you are in possession of an upper with a barrel less than 16 inches, and do not own a registered sbr or a pistol lower, and own a rifle AR, it's considered constructive possession. They can charge you as if you actually assembled an unlicensed SBR
