Hk45 availability. GOT ONE!

6139 Views 36 Replies 23 Participants Last post by  FrED650
Hey guys, new guy here on the hk forums.

I've been looking into an hk45 and i'm ready to buy but there in lies the problem. I cannot find any and the only few i have found on gb or guns america are either used or in the $1200 range.

Everywhere i check online the pistol is out of stock. Anyone have any idea when these will be available again? I understand no one can forsee the future and it is unlikely that anyone has an inside scoop on the exact date these will be available again but there are patterns and trends out there that some people pick up on. Last year i wanted a colt xse, stArted looking forit in march and didnt get it until late september, sure hope this is not the case with the hk45!

Also, which online dealer(other than buds) has the best deal on these?

Thanks.

What have your local dealers told you?
One guy wants close to $1300+tax. The other guy says its out of stock with his suppliers and he has no eta. Another guy says hes been unable to allocate one for the past 3 months.
Dude, find one online, and have your FFL do the transfer. Waiting around will save you hundreds, for $1300 that pistol is going to be there for a while. You can also watch the for sale section and grab a used one for a good price. There is also gunbroker. There are many options.

The reason HK's stay out of stock so long is because they wait for the last unit to be sold before they build more. Takes forever, but that is just how they do it. They do the same thing with parts.
If I didn't already have 2 (and wasn't broke) I would buy this!

01deuce's post shows one at a good price. Until after the election quality firearms of all kinds are going to be hard to find. Also I have no connection to the seller, but I think you'd have to look real hard to bet that price.
Hey Bro, welcome to the Forum. If you're close to MO. drive over and look around. I live St. Louis I have two HK45's never spent over $900.00 for either throw that $1300.00 out the window. I know the value on HK45's has gone up, but that's out in space. CDNN, Cheaper Than Dirt, they all get then on a pretty steady basis. In MO you can find them at $1030 in
Cabelas. Go on Gallery of Guns and look up the gun model in St. Charles MO. Look for Mike's Guns Give that dude a call man. I've bought most of my gun's from him. Use the money you save on ammo or gear. Good luck stay safe.
If I could piggyback on this question. Does anyone know if they will ever offer a full size HK45 Tactical? I've seen the Compact Tactical online at various places, but I haven't seen anyone offering a full size.

I don't know if they will offer it as an option from the factory but you can purchase the threaded barrel for the full size as an aftermarket option and replace the original: HK45 | HK45 Threaded Barrel, HK Tactical barrel - HKPARTS.NET

Just make sure you get the green o-rings with your new barrel as they make your bullets go faster and make you sexier in the eyes of super models!!!

Please note that the statement about the o-rings is pure sarcasm. I have no idea what makes bullets go faster!!
Call Ed's sport shop in Tamaqua, PA. I was just there yesterday and they have a HK45, HK45C and HK45CT
My advice would be to get on grabagun.com and budsgunshop.com, and get added to the mailing list. When they get the gun in they will send you an email. In my experience, you have a couple days after that to buy before they will be sold out again. This is how I got my P2000sk which was sold out everywhere for about a month before I got mine.

You can also try the gungenie at galleryofguns.com.
Hey Bro, I posted some info to you earlier. Mike of Mike's Gun's will not be available until after 07/20.
Are these the regular HK45 that have been out for 4-5 years now? I didn't know they were hard to find. What's the reason for that?

Guns of all kinds are selling like crazy. Huge increase in the number of people getting CHL permits, and huge number of existing gunowners buying what they want now. There is a lot of fear about what Obama will do if re-elected. Add to that that HK makes guns in individual lots (as mentioned earlier), and you end up with them being available for about a week at a time before they all sell out.
They are out there, they're just going for $1150 and up. There are several on gunsamerica.com right now.
Give Mike with Cross Creek Guns a call, and get on his list for when he gets more. Excellent prices, a forum member, and wonderful customer service.
Or try Knesek. Just need to google for any local home FFL. Most guys only charge $25 per transfer, any big chain store will charge you $50.

Have you purchased one from them recently? Do you know if they actually have them in stock? It's sunday, will give them a call first thing tomorrow morning but just saying.

Yea I'm trying to beat the rush here, after that Hk45 I will be pretty much done. Firearms(especially these) are expensive 1K+ and they fly out like candy, amazing!
Not yet, but I have called them. They are one of the biggest HK dealers in the states
