Hey everyone, happy and healthy 2017 to all -- may the new year bring everyone lots of new guns and ammo

So I called HK Support twice and got two different answers to the following question: If I have an HK45 (full size) LE version with the factory installed night sights, can I swap those sights with the standard luminescent sights on my P30L or VP9 if I prefer to have the night sights on one of those?

One rep said yes, the other said they all use different sights. I know some aftermarket sights fit different combinations, but as far as the factory night sights and luminescent sights, does anyone know the answer to this? I cannot do it myself so I would have to send it to HK or a gunsmith (likely will send it to HK), so I can't exactly experiment myself. I assume swapping sights does not cause any damage if done professionally and seems to be a common thing, but please let me know if anyone feels otherwise (sorry I have absolutely no experience changing sights).

Apologies if this has already been discussed but I tried a few google searches and couldn't find a definitive answer. Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice is much appreciated. Thank you all!

I'm pretty sure the sights are interchangeable, so you can. Send them in & they'll get to em ASAP. I had my VP9 arrive at their office on Thursday (12/29). I had a spare set of HD Trijicon's that I included with the slide to swap. They swapped the sights & mailed it back overnight to me the same day. Didn't even charge me anything. That's twice they've done everything in the same day to help me out with issues I had (because of my own fault) & sent it back the same day received. HK customer service is awesome & I'll always count on them for assistance. You'll do great with whatever choice you go with.

only perspective I can add is that Trijicon lists HD's for VP9, P30 and 45C as one part number, and the 45 full size, as a different part number.

Truglo, meanwhile, lists a specific part number TFX Pro sights as compatible with all - 45/45C, P30, VP9.

I just purchased a set of trijicon hd sights for my P30, and on the package it had several HKs listed they would fit, one being the HK 45c, which I have. Sights are now at gunsmiths being put on, but if the guns have the same part number, then they should fit. Now, that being said, I don't know how much filing may need to be done to install them, so if they put a little extra material on the sight to fit slightly different size groves, I dont know. If that is the case, then once installed, they may not can be re-installed on another gun if too much of the material has been filed off to fit perfectly, but not a gunsmith here.

Factory HK Luminova sights and Meprolight night sights are interchangeable among P30/P30SK/HK45/HK45C. Trijicon (both HD and Bright & Tough), like maca has stated above, are the only ones that I have seen so far that have different sights for the full-size HK45. I have either swapped or installed probably around 120-130 of these sights in the past couple of years.

Send me a PM and maybe I can do install/swap them for you for free. I have the tools and have done these for free for members here.

Thanks guys! I found the same thing online of the Trijicons being the only sights without full interchangeability, just wanted to verify this through anyone with experience, looks like everyone agreed on the exact same findings.

Are the HK45 and HK45C sights interchangeable?
