I think the best place to find them is on this forum. Especially for cheap. I got 4 of them on here for $40 a mag, barely used. Beats the heck out of MSRP

Well, I figured something out...

HK45C/USP45C 10rd mags are the same as the HK45 full-size mags, just with different base pads. Ordered 5x HK45C magazines and swapped basepads with HK45 full-size basepads and voila.

They are literally the same magazine with different baseplates. Once baseplates are swapped it is an HK45 mag.

Yeah that's what I thought. I ordered some from HKparts as soon as they were in stock on their site. Charged my credit card and after a week I called to check on the mags and was told that they oversold the mags. So, I asked since the rebuild mag body was the exact part number for the full size and the compact, would the compact mags work. I was told that they would not. Thanks for letting us know.

Well, HKparts came through with the mags. Good on them.

Maybe Adam thought your were asking if the compact (8rd) mag body would work in a fullsize.

They told me the 10 round compact would not work. I know they wouldn't with the bottoms. But it is the same body. No problem as the mags are on the way. I ordered some 10 round compact mags from another source and will report back when all is tested.

Not sure how much you guys are getting them for, but grabagun.com has the USP mags for $50.20 a piece.

Well, my hat is off to HKParts for being creative or reading this post. I got my mags today from HKParts and it appears they did what I am planning to do to make some more mags. It is evident that they took the floorplates off of some compact 10rd mags and replace them with the regular floorplates. Even the bags the mags came in had the compact number and you can see the line on the mag body where the compact floor plates were at. It's all good because they found the mags I needed.

where can you get the mag base plates for the HK45? This sounds like a great idea and I am SO GLAD I happened upon this thread since I have been looking for mags since I got the HK45 and everyone is out of stock or asking 70+ for them ... thanks!
