Hello,

Having never handled a 91/G3/clone before I have a few questions regarding the front end of the rifle - trunnion to muzzle.

1) Is there play in the hand guard? (slim HK hand guard in particular)

2) (If no to above) How is pressure applied on the hand guard to remove play?

I have two HK slim hand guards that show wear on the inside near the rear of the handguard. Is this from contact with the barrel? I am guessing the receiver only retains the handguard but doesn't apply pressure.

3) The "hanger" for the hand guard. Are they fixed in place? Have you experienced tolerance stacking issues when swapping different rifles?

Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully respond!

The hand guards are free floating. They should only contact the trunnion. But not the barrel.

There can be play in the hand guard.

Never had an issue with swapping parts. As long as they are going to the correct platform. i.e. HK93 handguards don't on a HK91.
