Do some searching on older threads. There's more info out there. One thread from the last year or so if I recall had some info on the manufacture of some of them.

Typically welded up from two OEM mags.

I have 4 of those bought cheap back in the early 90’s… old info was they were South African , not HK MADE. Function reliability is spotty but all of mine work great , even have chrome followers…
