I bought a G36 bipod for my SL8-1. I have reviewed the owner manual and I can't figure out how to remove the metal clip that keeps the front pin in place. The pin I am talking about is the one that has the eyelet at the end so that you can attach a sling. I tried prying on it but I don't want to break it.

Thanks

And when Joe says "press" he actually means that you might have to use an amount of force usually reserved for navy seals. The clip can get good and lodged in there, but after a time or two of taking it off and on, you'll get better at encouraging it out.

As with many of the SL8's maniuplations (*cough* FCG *cough*), patience is essential.

Thanks guys, I got it installed today. I think prying up help loosen it because it was as bad as Greg suggests
