So my neck of the woods is staring down hurricane Matthew, decided to evacuate. But what HK guns to take to weather the storm? Either to evacuate to stay safe on the road, prepare for whatever might await when returning, or even to hunker down with if you were riding it out, what would be with you?

I'd take as many guns as possible for safe keeping but at a minimum, my largest cc that could also double as HD (wherever staying) and a BUG that could also be a deep conceal in non-permissive environment.

Take all of them. If not an option take the most rare, expensive or sentimental favorites as you can. If you are looking at it from a personal protection perspective, at least two pistols, preferable ones that accept the same mags, one subgun and one rifle.

Equally important questions are

How many rounds of ammo do you take?

How many rounds of ammo do you bury in the yard to keep away from the looters?

I'd take 200 rounds for protection in weatherproof ammo box. It's enough to protect you but not slow you down.

The rest gets buried in the back yard.
