I didn't notice it at first, but look at the second to last picture, that's not an UMP. It's some sort of knockoff. Look at the shape of the receiver. Are there any clearer pictures of it anywhere?
Maybe one of these PSP-10 or what ever it was called.

legend pics

This movie was the reason that I had to buy another one of the HK 45 usp pistols. I had one 6 years ago and traded it away for a AR15. I am glad to have one again!

one thing about the movie that's totally not credible, is where he gets out at the grand central overpass with only his rifle and not the side arm. Comeon... he's a soldier! Who in the world would ditch the side arm?!

also whats so funny is that this movie being shot in NYC had to comply with NYC gun laws. The rifle was single shot (no automatic) only and mags of no more 10 rounds. The filmed good parts of it around my office, so I got to watch some of the filming. They did a great job with Saint Patrick's cathedral with making it look run down too!

Um, I'm a bit skeptical. Where did you hear this? Weapons Specialists Ltd. (supplied weapons for the movie) has permits to use live weapons (semi-auto and full-auto) in NYC. They have to have handlers on-set with the guns at all times, but they certainly can (and have) filmed in NYC with them.

On the other hand, they did make a non-firing M4 for Smith to use so that the production didn't have to pay an armorer to be on-set at all times. Propstore of London has that gun for sale here:

Ruertar, the gun used in Collateral was a regular old USP 45. However, one thing I just noticed the other day was one of the Collateral promotional posters shows him holding an integrally suppressed Ruger Mark II (the kind from the movie Assassins). I don't remember seeing this in the movie, however I'm thinking it may be the one he used in the Jazz player scene.

As I remember it the Ruger was used when the Jazz Player was assassinated.

So there is an alternate ending to I AM LEGEND? I thought the lab sucked!
We will likely have to wait on it coming out on DVD, but given the book it is based on "Last Man On Earth" and it's a remake of the movie "The Omega Man" I don't expect him to live. Maybe a different death and not as sudden?
