Just picked up an M2 UTL for my USP and will be at the range this weekend. I plan on leaving the UTL on the pistol the entire time and I've read that people apply vaseline or some light grease over the lens prior to shooting to make it easier to clean up afterwards. The manual says its okay to use a lubricating solvent or oil. I have some BreakFree CLP and was wondering if that would be okay to use on the lens? Also wondering what your guys' experiences are regarding this matter. Thanks!

How about a piece of painters/masking tape? Even easier to clean.
^This. I use 3M blue masking tape. Put a piece big enough to cover the lens, leaving a "tab" of tape on the bottom to facilitate removal. It leaves no residue on the lens at all. Used often on drills with an HK45c with a TLR-3 in a Raven Phantom LBH.
