Hey everyone,
I joined this forum about 9 months ago, have browsed often, posted a few times (mostly with pics) and wanted to introduce myself with my first thread.
I'm a native Californian, former LEO and Army Veteran now working in the Software industry. I purchased my first HK about 20 years ago and still consider HK the best of the best.
After browsing this site, it is clear that most (if not all) of you have far more knowledge about HK firearms than I, and I will continue to use this forum as my HK knowledge base and hopefully contribute a little as well.
Onto my question:
I have an HK300 that has a little problem and was hoping someone might be able to provide some help.
The last time I took it out, the brass deflector(?) broke/fell off the rear of the ejection port. I took it to a local gunsmith who said the part was broken and I needed to find a replacement part to repair it. So far, I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to find one and hoped someone here could direct me to where I might find a rare part like this.
Here are some pics:
I understand this is not a critical issue, but would like to repair it if possible.
Thanks in advance for any input.
Rob
