Just finished up converting my P2000 from V2 to V1.

Since I have not done any gunsmithing work, I was prepared to battle. Much to my surprise it wasn't quite as difficult as I imagined it to be. Nonetheless, replacing the TRS was still a pain.

Having read and reviewed the great threads and posts here on the forum, my chore was made a whole lot easier. Thanks to all those who have posted on this conversion. I now have the confidence (and resources with the forum) to perhaps tackle bigger projects.

Thanks forum folks.

Hi Barth,
I've got the extended mag release sitting here on my desk. I'll probably get to it tomorrow.
Also recommend you try out the various backstrap options with live fire.
After owning mine for years, I recently tried out the Extra Large backstrap.
And totally love the new feel and handling of the gun!

Congrats on doing it yourself!

I also converted my P2000 V2 to V1 thanks to one of TwoSixy's tutorials (plus the extended mag release). After doing a couple V3 to V1 conversions it was very easy.

The V1 was a big improvement, but I just boxed it up today along with it's "spare" barrel (.40 and 357Sig), and a couple magazines and shipped it off to Lazy Wolf Guns. It will get a reset reduction and the slide, barrel(s), slide releases, internals and a couple magazines are being sent to ROBAR for NP3 plating. Going to be gone for a few months so I'm back to carrying a PPQ until it gets back.

BTW, I tried the XL Backstrap and it didn't agree with me, so I went back to the medium. I guess one size doesn't fit all.

Chuck
