What did the entire set up run for something like that? You can pm me if you dont want to put it out in the open

I dont recall what the price was for all the parts but I had a lot of unused domestic parts stuff sitting around

I paid 1350 for MKE and 400 to IGF for the barrel/trunnion work, I know the barrel was around 180 from RCM

I cant say it enough that Jayson Cotter at Investment Grade Firearms really does SUPERB work. He and his smiths', just great stuff!

You already had the sear pack?

no its a semi lower

MP5 SF ambi

** acutally now that I think about it I think I am mistaken because if it were factory semi it wouldnt have a shelf mmodded and welded on so it is just a regular CP lower

I must say the craftsmanship is really nice. I have no idea who converted it

I got my "application" back from the ATF after about a 5 month wait.

Apparently I did not dot the "i" properly on the Trust and ATF forms. (mismatched Trust name)

However, I made a call to the ATF and was able to speak to the exact agent that had processed and subsequently sent back my form.
He was the nicest of govt employees I have had the pleasure of speaking with outside of handcuffs. (LOL)

Anyhow... he gave me advice on how to correct the ATF form without changing the Trust, and how to mail it directly to him to avoid any further delays.

He expects my form to be approved in about 4 weeks.

I'm hoping.....

exactly what happened to me *twice with my two most recent SBR's. My examiner is Nicole D. and she is great. Once I mailed back the corrected forms back I had it in 8 days.

needless to say I now know the proper way to fill out the form. As for my limited experience with the NFA branch, when I have talked to them they are nice to deal with.

I am in the process of getting a trust set up. Once that is done. I can send the papers off to get my clone's stamp. So I can make it a SBR. Can't hardly wait.

its the best method to get a NFA items IMHO

Just be absolutely sure you follow the letter of the law with your trust otherwise you may be SOL when your heirs are due their weapons.

I have been fingerprinted 4 times in the past for NFA items before I finally went the trust route, best thing I ever did. Getting finger printed is fricken' awkward to do and I dont like it

Congrats, man. I want to SBR an HK94 pistol so bad I can't stand it, but I can't swing the $2000+ for the pistol right now. I've wanted an MP5/HK94 clone ever since I saw that Bruce Willis 80s HK porn movie that was known as "Die Hard."

How long is the average wait time for an SBR stamp if you don't go the trust route, i.e., get the CLEO signature? My local county sheriff is pretty NFA friendly so I wouldn't see an major problems in that area, especially since I already have a valid concealed carry permit.
