Actually, the FH (compensator) was on in all the runs... Two ammo brands. The first was Americal Eagle Tactical AE223 55-gr and the rest was PMC 55-gr. Apparently the AE is loaded a wee-bit hotter. Looking through the EOTech, the only thing I could do was keep the fireball at center of mass.

Wow, the only time I've seen that much fire is when I removed my FH shooting XM193. I was using a 16" barrel though. I could see a 10.5" being harder to handle. Thanks for sharing the video.

The damn thing (14.5 inch) rattled my head so much I thought the rest of my teeth were going to fall out of my head and it hurt like a mo-fo.

But I couldn't stop shooting......

i heard it was potential of ricochets of bullet fragments off the steel tables with rifle calibers... depends who you ask and phase of the moon on any particular day

someone did get hit with a 223 fragment the other day

I've still got a bullet fragment in my chin from having a training class set up the targets too close to rocks.

Bullet fragments can be an issue.

That was just the first time.

After that I didn't have the tooth issue to deal with and found the 10.4 not a lot different then shooting a MK18.

The shorter guns announce their presence with authority for sure.

Put a brake on it too!.....you'll have the range to your self before the first mag change...guaranteed.
