We have a group buy running in the Group Buy section. We will be placing the order by the end of this week, early next week at the latest--just waiting on the last few deposits.

THIS IS FINAL CALL FOR THE GROUP BUY PRICE -- I will be ordering extra suppressors however in fairness to those who have already committed, the $1075 price will only be available until November 1st.

----- Original Post -----

Hello everyone!

We are putting together a B&T MP5SD suppressor group buy. These are the same SD suppressors that B&T provides to HK except they are made in the USA by B&T USA. Materials are imported from Switzerland. They will carry the B&T mfg markings with the Dakota Tactical logo.

Price: $1075.00 shipped

Terms: We need to pre-sell 25 units min / 50 units max to make this happen. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Deposits will be refunded if we do not meet the minimum. Price reflects cash discount. Visa/MC/Disc/AMX accepted.

Timetable: Group buy runs until 11/1/2016. All deposits must be received prior to 11/1/2016. Production will begin at that time. You will be given your serial numbers when they become available to us.

Questions: Please post all question in this threads so that everyone can benefit.

Opt-in: Drop me a private message with your full contact info and preferred method of deposit. I will get an invoice emailed to you.

We also have this up on our other social media channels so I anticipate that we will hit the min fairly easily :)

Cheers!
Joe

UPDATE 11/13/2106: Tubes have been coated and are expected to be engraved starting next week.

UPDATE 12/5/2016: There has been some delays with the engraving so I am just now approving the sample. Here is how the cans will be marked. I am told the cans should be done sometime next week and the Form-3 (to me) will be filed.

UPDATE 12/17/2016: ATF Form-3 to me was filed yesterday so looks like we are only a few weeks behind schedule. I'll be sending out notices for balance due along with serial numbers. Thanks everyone!

UPDATE: 12/31/2016: Form-3 jail

UPDATE: 1/24/2017: End-user Form-3's will be e-filed this week.

UPDATE: 2/15/2017: All Form-3's were filed last week of Jan. Finally had a little bit of time to snap some photos...

question will the outside dimension of the suppressor be the same as a factory hk mp5sd supressor? is there any technical data available on these and are they permanently sealed like the factory suppressor? will they have knurling or the mottled texture on them? mark

They are the correct 40mm in diameter which should eliminate the fitment issues that many people have with the current US-made 41mm cans.

The original HK cans were chemically sealed, not welded. The B&T can are the same. They are not knurled or textured--they are smooth.

Cheers!

This may or not be a stupid question but here goes anyway. I have the B&T APC9 Is this the same suppressor they sell for that? Will it function to the same specs as it would on an MP5? I realize there is a lot of interchangeable parts between these two. Thanks in advance.

These are not muzzle attached 3-lug suppressors. These are MP5SD suppressors.

I know you may not be able to answer this due to NDA, but how do these relate and/or compare to the upcoming Silencerco Summit MP5SD? I saw this group buy and thought it was awesome, but have been holding out to see what the collaboration looks like.

I don't have any information on that yet. It is on our list of planned projects however no timetable has been set.

Just a reminder that the order has been placed. There are 3 left from the extras I ordered. To be fair to those that got in early, the Group Buy price is good until Nov. 1st. No exceptions. Thanks everyone!

UPDATE 12/5/2016: There has been some delays with the engraving. I am unsure of the details however B&T assures me that their shop is on top of it. I will keep everyone posted. Thank you!

User servicable? Hell yes! So glad I jumped in on this one.
No. They are assembled with the Swiss equivalent of red Loc-Tite.

Nothing five minutes with a heat gun can't solve. That appears to be the same pin spanner wrench diameter that TPM Outfitters and RCM uses for their suppressor end-caps. In fact: I guarantee that it is the same tool.

User servicable!
