I was wondering about the trigger system in the HK pistols and wondered if they have ever considered doing an LEM with SA hybrid.
LEM as the DA first pull, with SA thereafter.
Seems to me that it would be a good compromise.
Is anything like this available?

That's kinda what the LEM is all about. Long take up on the first pull (similar to DA), with a short reset, and short take up (SA, if you "ride the reset"). Let the trigger all the way out, and you are back to "long, but not real heavy take up" sorta DA.

I suppose I'm not fully understanding the question. My understanding is that LEM, all the pull weights are the same. The first trigger pull is a DA pull with the SA weight, and everything else subsequent is like a traditional SA.

If I'm wrong, I'm definitely interested in the answer. I plan to buy a brand new V7 USP 9 FS as well as a match trigger to make it have a Match Hybrid LEM. I see a decent deal out there for around 840 shipped.

I agree that Light LEM is to me already a Hybrid SA.
My HK45c LEM was gunsmith measured at 3.9 lbs.
Personally, I stage the first shot and ride the reset for follow ups.
Very fast and very light.
My FS USP guns are Match LEM Hybrid - The Voodoo Trigger

I believe I understand perfectly what the OP is saying, and have thought about it myself. The first pull being your traditional LEM, but when you release the trigger after the first shot, the hammer and trigger remain rearward. Of course you'd need a mechanism to return trigger / hammer forward for carry mode.

That's how I understood it too. I think it would've been pretty neat but it doesn't exist.

And why would anyone want the hammer to remain rearward? So that you can decock? If that's the sole reason, then the spurred LEM hammer in V0 is the answer.

V4.1CH helps keep the trigger back, almost like a SA.
