I installed the universal LEM kit into my USP 45c the other day. I put in the heavier hammer spring and the heaviest trigger return spring but the trigger pull still feels light, in the area of 5.5 pounds. Are there any other springs that can make it a little heavier?

You can get a heavier FPBS. If the springs are in there that you say I find it very hard to believe that the pull is close to 5.5 lbs. Maybe you're finger needs to be calibrated.

Maybe it has something to do with it being the universal kit...there was no FPBS included and I can't find the heavier one on HKParts..maybe I should clarify a little...it is the trigger take up that is about 5.5 pounds. The trigger break is a bit heavier. I would like the takeup to be a bit heavier.

No FPBS included with any of the LEM kits out there. You can try this heavy FPBS. Or just PM me your address and I'll send you one.

I don't know of a spring that is heavier than the LEM TRS to increase the weight of the take up. If it's too light for you then maybe going back to DA/SA or to DAO (which I personally wouldn't wish on anyone) is in order. Ultimately you need to be comfortable with your platform. I will say, there's always a lot of talk about lightening trigger pulls but I can't remember there being a case where someone couldn't get it heavy enough.

The only spring affecting the take-up is the trigger return spring.

Look at yours; the heaviest one available is gray in color and the spring stock (the wire the spring is made of) is square in cross section. If that's what you have, then you're stuck with it. If the spring stock is round, then get the square one and install it.

I put the squared TRS into it. The hammer spring I installed is a little shorter than the spring that was in the gun as DA/SA but it is noticeably heavier. It was the longer of the 2 springs in the kit.

Yes, but that (hammer/main spring) doesn't affect the initial take-up. If you've already got the heavy TRS in there, dunno what to tell you.

I AM, however, curious as to why you feel the need for a heavier take-up...
